The IGN1A coil has been gaining popularity among the 2JZ community for their amazing ability to produce powerful spark without the need for an igniter. These smart coils will be the last coils you ever buy. More power, better idle and drivability, and with our beautiful CNC precision machined billet aluminum bracket and stainless allen head bolts, we feel it’s an aesthetic upgrade as well.
The kit comes complete with six coils, our bracket with hardware and premium 8.5mm plug wires that have been thoroughly tested and custom modified by Induction Performance for peak power handling -- we add Raychem DR-25 heatshrink and RT-125 epoxy to our wires to make them the best possible plug wires you can purchase for an IGN1A application!
This kit works with all aftermarket ECUs that allow for adjustable dwell once properly wired and setup.
No more expensive and fragile aftermarket ignition boxes. No more remanufactured OEM coils that are hit or miss. For roughly the cost of a new set of OEM Toyota coilpacks, you can upgrade your ignition system to the ultimate level and never have to touch it again!
This system removes the need for the OEM igniter, OEM coilpacks or any auxiliary ignition amplifiers like an M&W or MoTeC CDI.
We also now offer a complete harness for the coil kit utilizing motorsport grade materials including tefzel wire, Deutsch connectors and Raychem DR-25 heatshrink. Simply select your ECU and add to the kit!
NOTE: This kit does not work with 2JZ-GE valve covers or any 1JZ setups. Our quick release version WILL work with the 2JZ-GE valve covers or any other 2JZ valve cover available. See here.

- The IGN1A coils deliver a powerful, long duration spark and are ideal for use in high-boost or high-compression engines.
- This coil is a specially designed inductive style, high energy coil IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) referred to as a smart coil, as it is designed with the igniter on the coil. (TTL Transistor to Transistor Logic computer systems)
- This coil has the potential of a Massive Spark Energy, (<250mJ, 8mS dwell @ 14 bolt) equal to and typical of the Capacitive Discharge Ignition (CDI) ignition systems, and delivers a very long spark duration that can only be achieved by using inductive coils.
- This Massive Spark Energy <250mJ, and very high voltage, >81kV with incredibly long spark duration of <3.2mS is CRITICAL to maximizing power in high boost or high compression engines.
