When PHR looked to develop a top of the line system they looked no further than Dailey Engineering, and after strenuous testing they released the signature series dry sump kit for the 2JZ platform. With a unique integral dry sump oil system, the oil pump bolts directly to the oil pan thus eliminating the AN lines between the oil pump and oil pan. All scavenge lines are internally machined into the oil pan eliminating the costly weight and expense of external scavenge AN lines.
As with most kits available, we strove to engineer a pan that fit within the confines of the factory engine bay, and we did just that. The billet pan measures in at an astonishing 2.0 inches, making it the slimmest on the market.
Unfortunately for someone who wants to retain OEM A/C the oil pump does take that spot.
One question we do get asked occasionally is can the OEM power steering pump be kept? The answer is yes. We have numerous kits running factory power steering and even aftermarket pumps.
Another first for the 2JZ platform is the turbo oil drain scavenge section integrated into the oil pump. Allowing for more aggressive turbo center cartridge positioning.
